Mennonites in Mexico
In a remote corner of Zacatecas state, blond-haired farmers and women in ankle-length dresses return from church, filing past rows of unstained concrete homes and lush fields of corn and chilies.
For almost a century, German-speaking Mennonites have quietly tended their crops and produced cheese as they practice their strict form of Christianity. But one member of the famously reclusive sect recently made Mexican history. More here
