From Little ACORNS...Democrats Grow

...on July 26, 2007, local prosecutors in Seattle indicted seven ACORN workers on charges of submitting phony registrations in what Secretary of State Sam Reed, himself a Democrat, terms the "worst case of voter registration fraud" in state history. (If Reed is actually capable of recognizing vote fraud, one wonders how he was able to preside over the Democrats’ brazen theft of the Washington governors office in 2004.)

In the present case, ACORN workers turned in registration forms containing the names of such well-know "Washingtonians" as Dennis Hastert (former House Speaker from Illinois), Frank Rich and Tom Friedman (New York Times columnists), as well as totally fictitious persons such as Stormi Bays and Fruto Boy. The addresses given were all traced to various homeless shelters.

According to the indictments, of the 1,805 registrations submitted by ACORN, only nine have been confirmed as valid. Election officials are still trying to validate the remaining 34 registrants.

- and yet Democrats always claim the high moral ground -

Correction - Secretary of State Sam Reed is actually a Republican! I received an email from the office of Mr. Reed stating that he is a Republican. Everything else is presumably true.
